Franklin Mint 1946 Chevrolet Suburban

Complicated story on this one....
Franklin Mint had decided to do the '46 Suburban, the problem was so did the Danbury Mint. Both mints received licensing for the same year and truck.

While in development stage I uncovered Danbury Mint was planning the same model in a similar color combination. Therefore our replica had a color change to green and black with a canoe and camping gear included setting us apart from the Danbury replica.

Samples received for review of the tooling were painted the original spec color, which is the red and black model pictured here. For final production Franklin Mint changed the color noting that Danbury Mint had already mailed flyers previewing their replica in red/black.

Six red panel trucks were manufactured and are known to exist. To easily authenticate these, note that the chassis was painted green the same as the production Suburban.
