Last night Rose and I attended a zoning hearing in support of our son-in-law who spent close to fifty thousand dollars to erect a sign at his business. He was told by zoning since a sign was already there he could replace it without any permits required; it's going on the same pole etc. Well, a neighbor complained of course once it was lit up. Hey that's their right and I respect that. However, he followed the rules and regulations as told to him by zoning.

So here we are at the meeting, the zoning board was hearing the case of our Son-in-laws lawyer and all proceeded well. The board members are all elderly guys, they have held these positions for what seems to be a 100 years. No really.

So the meeting adjourned about 8:45PM and Rose and I right left, no chit-chat. The one board member was parked right next to us but we left before he came out to his car. We no sooner walked into our house which was maybe a 15 minute ride when we were informed they found him lying on the ground next to his car door dead. Yikes.... gone just like that. Life is short, you never know when your number is up; he was active at the meeting but someone had other plans for this guy.

My brother has lost '3' good friends in the past '3' weeks. My brother is 64 years old. He's a little depressed right now. The family is watching him.

When I meet my buddies for breakfast on Saturday mornings - we will always talk about who passed away since we last met.

I like to say I've got more blessings than problems. And I truly believe in GODs plan.
But... yeah, life is short. Live it. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.

AND... it's almost time to put the 'flannel sheets' on the BED! LOL! It's going to get chilly in Indiana tonight.

I'm the last one of my friends left alive, I'm 81 yrs. old. I like to remember all of the good times we all had when we were together, I have what they call Multiple Myeloma which is a form of Cancer so maybe the good Lord has other plans for me.

The selling of our home and moving to a new location/home was the beginning of a new attitude and a new way of living for us. We look forward to new experiences and friends while we have the energy and wherewithal to enjoy them. At the same time We are trying to rid ourselves, as much as possible, from things that cause stress.

It was a good move.

Last in my immediate family living also.
I do have a lifelong friend who had no siblings, married late, and then had 4 kids; 2 still in school now.
I'm like an uncle, thankfully it gives me something of a connection.

Myron, you are blessed with son and daughter, and grand kids. Live your life, enjoy all the positives that come with that, my friend. I'm sure you do.

I try to live each day like it may be my last and do my best to treat people the way I want to be treated. When I'm gone I want to be remembered for the good I've done, not good riddance a$$hole. I'm grateful for each day the Lord gives me. Enjoy for it goes way to fast.
